Day 6 – More bike, less mountain..
(Kim) Well nice to sleep in today until 7:30! Mike made us an egg, ham, cheese sandwiches for breakfast-delicious of course. Then off to pick up the e-mountain bikes. These were really nice bikes easily $5000 bikes if not more. I realize though that I definitely prefer road biking to mountain biking! Our first stop though was to a bakery our Portuguese grandma recommended-absolutely delicious and gave us energy to keep biking. Then off to the rocky shoreline and to the natural bridge. I totally understand why Mike and Aaron get along so well now-they like to push it and keep going even though there is no trail! Ugh up hills full of rocks and no flat at all, falling frequently into prickly bushes was not my idea of fun. Finally Mike agreed to turn around to the “road” after going up many dead ends and turns. I enjoyed the road that was still bumpy but manageable. We ended up back at the ladder that took us down into the cave pool we could jump into-had to do ...
